The fire prompted evacuations Monday afternoon in the area of Highway 287 and Dillon Road, north of Broomfield.

Firefighters reported partial containment of three of the wildfires burning in western Colorado as of the morning of July 18, but weather and conditions on the ground could allow the blazes to grow quickly through the weekend, according to fire officials.
