Despite unanimous objection from Quebec’s National Assembly and a government willing to take the matter to the Supreme Court, Quebec’s electoral boundaries commission says it will go ahead with a redrawn electoral map that eliminates a riding in the Gaspé Peninsula and another in Montreal to reflect shifting demographics.
